About the event

On March 19, 2026, Central Florida HIDTA will host Surveillance Techniques, a full-day training designed for law enforcement officers who routinely use surveillance as part of their investigative work or are seeking to strengthen those skills. Led by Agent Rafael Baez, a veteran narcotics agent and instructor with extensive experience in surveillance and interdiction operations, the course combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on exercises. Participants will learn how to properly conduct and document surveillance, perform mobile surveillance on foot and in vehicles, and develop safety-focused operational plans. Realistic scenarios will challenge students to maintain covert roles while tracking suspects involved in complex criminal activity, providing practical experience directly applicable to active investigations.
